Privacy and cookies
Last updated 5 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data paulsuggitt.com collects, why, and your rights under the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
Who I am
The data controller is Paul Suggitt. Contact: Email Paul or the contact form.
Contact form and email
When you use the contact form I receive your name, email address, any company, project details and message. I use them only to reply and discuss your project (lawful basis: your consent and steps at your request before a contract). Messages are sent by email to my mailbox. I keep enquiries for up to two years unless we go on to work together, when normal business records apply.
To stop spam, the form checks a signed timestamp and may use Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes technical data such as your IP address to tell people from bots. The site runs on Vercel, with its functions in London.
Cookies and analytics
Nothing that tracks you is set unless you choose Accept cookies in the banner. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page; withdrawing consent deletes the analytics cookies.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics 4 | Counts visits and shows which pages are used. Only after you accept. Advertising features are off. | Up to 2 years |
| ps-consent (local storage) | This site | Remembers your cookie choice. | 12 months |
I also use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you. Google Analytics data may be processed outside the UK by Google under the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
Embedded videos
Film pages show a still image instead of a live YouTube player. YouTube only loads (from youtube-nocookie.com) when you press play, and YouTube's own privacy policy then applies.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask me to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how it's used, and withdraw consent at any time. Email Paul or use the contact form. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
