Stories that move. Films that matter. A film and production company founded in Hartlepool in 2020 by director Paul Suggitt.
Who we are
7VEN Productions was founded in October 2020 by multi award-winning director Paul Suggitt. It's based in Hartlepool, with strong roots across the Tees Valley and the North East of England, and works worldwide.
The approach is hands-on and often immersive. It goes after subjects that matter, from true crime to social justice, sport and human interest.
How we work
Going where other productions won't, and staying long enough to get it right.
Time with the people and places first, often living their experience, so the story is told truthfully.
Every film is shaped to hold an audience emotionally and intellectually from start to finish.
Direction, cinematography and editing to the standard broadcasters and platforms expect.
Films that start conversations and make a difference to the people and places in them.
